None of my purely technical posts have ever resulted in people talking about 'my behavior' instead of the topic at hand (that I know of). This one is an exception, considering I felt it's fair to provide my point of view on the matter (and so people know I'm no longer there). I think the only official warning I got was about 3 years ago. Which I think is fair, if you're actively present in a community for over 5 years.

So other than the 'Github anime avatar fiasco', I'm not aware of any official precedent of "ban-worthy offenses" that would have violated any previously existing Reddit and community rules (and the /r/androiddev community agreed on this, and demanded proof - where the proof is that the accusations were hidden along with the post).

Imagine that, from your point of view, I'm supposed to just grit my teeth, and accept that I "should have shut up, and not piss of people in power", especially if they seemed to have a fragile ego. And not raise my voice against dubious practices (such as closing PRs for having "the wrong avatar") and the enforcement of secret guidelines.

From my perspective, refusing to remain complacent in the face of injustice is NOT toxicity.

Can you argue that "increasing awareness of the issue" at hand is "being a keyboard warrior"? Yes. But I do not believe that there is anything wrong with voicing your opinion, especially if you hope to be understood.

And to me, personally, "being right" is important, because that means I'm not being dishonest: I'm not lying to you with my actions and my words. I don't consider this viewpoint to be toxic on its own, either.

This is something the Mod in question could also take note of, considering they've made accusations of "doxxing", which is absolutely baseless, and insulting to say the least. (Is this statement toxic? Am I supposed to just ignore his actions with a smile…?)

Nonetheless, I thank you for your perspective. I'll try to take it into consideration.
