I think I inherited half of that from the Android Architecture Blueprints, and I did intend to clean up specifically the MVVM sample because, well, I did the least amount of clean-up on that (the list is a ListView and it’s still in Java?!). But if you throw down a specific link for what packages bother you, I’ll look into it.
