As I said, if the bottom navigation view is in the fragment itself and not managed by Jetpack Navigation (and the two fragments of the bottom nav are two child fragments of MainFragment), then you don't have multi-stack, but you also don't need to show/hide the bottom nav. It depends on your design spec.
